Trail Site Notices:

 

BAR (BRISTOL): The island is currently inaccessible for camping due to storm damage. The island is still available for day use along the shoreline, but please do not access the upland as it will further exacerbate erosion. This page will be updated when the island is fully open again.

BURNT (NORTH HAVEN): Bald eagles have established a nest near the old cabin site. North Haven Conservation Partners has temporarily re-routed the trail away from the nest; please adhere to updated signage and trail flagging on the island.

EAGLE ISLAND STATE HISTORIC SITE (HARPSWELL): Moorings are not available and the island is inaccessible by most boats until the pier has been repaired. Kayakers and small boat operators are welcome to land on the beach to picnic beginning June 15.

SAND BEACH (STONINGTON): Per the property owner, kayak launching and/or parking for kayakers is not permitted. Access is for visitors to the beach only.

TROTT (KENNEBUNKPORT): The Pine Grove campsite is currently closed due to storm damage. Other campsites on the island are available for reservation at kctislands.org.

GEORGE HEAD / LITTLE GEORGE HEAD (STONINGTON) AUGUST 4-5 & 7-31: Please refrain from landing on these islands during this closure. This includes daytime use as well as overnight camping. Your cooperation will help ensure continued access to these special places.
