Wilderness First Aid Afloat Courses

Do you have the skills to handle a medical emergency on the Maine Island Trail, or elsewhere in the wilderness? Here’s a chance to acquire some really critical knowledge. North Star Adventures will present two sessions of their SOLO Wilderness First Aid Afloat course at MITA’s beautiful waterfront office in Portland, April 20-21 (FULL, email info@mita.org to join waitlist) and May 11-12 from 9am-5pm. This course contains all the same information included in SOLO Wilderness First Aid, plus additional topics specifically designed for boaters. Not only will you gain the skills you need to care for people in a remote location, but you will have a great time doing so! There will be a mix of classroom sessions, practice sessions, and outdoor practical scenarios. We hope you can join us!

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday 9am-5pm. CPR, for those who need it, will follow class on Saturday.

Course includes: Materials for practice scenarios, WFAA book, WFAA map, two-year certification and instruction.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 30 days or more in advance of the event date will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made 15-29 days in advance of the event date will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made 14 days or less in advance of the event date will not receive any refund.
