If you’ve gotten this far, then you by now realize that the Maine Island Trail Association has a brand new website! And we’re so glad that you’re here.
Last May, we launched a new logo and brand system to help us better tell the story of MITA. You may have noticed that things have looked a little bit different for us since then—in our emails, our printed mailings, and on social media. But, our work wasn’t done. We knew that we desperately needed a new look and feel for mita.org, but it wasn’t as easy as just switching up the logo and a couple of photos. So, we got in touch with our friends (and MITA brand architects) Springtide Studio and got to work. Along with the help of side.sea agency, we all worked together to build you a whole new experience here at mita.org.
It’s not just about looks, though. We wanted to make this site easier and more enjoyable to use. We wanted to make it more simple for you to sign up to volunteer, find information on events, and get the resources you need to explore the Maine Island Trail. We wanted to give people who are new to MITA a better sense of what the Trail is all about. What you see now represents a huge step in the direction of meeting those objectives, but we’re not about to rest—we are still working behind the scenes to make things even better, and will always be making an effort at keeping mita.org fresh and relevant. So come back as often as you can to see what’s going on in the world of MITA! As always, thank you so much for your support. We couldn’t do any of this without you, and we’re happy that you’re here with us.
