2025 MITA Photo Contest

Announcing the 2025 MITA Photo Contest!

As autumn creeps up on us, it’s time to show off all of those spectacular photos you took over the summer!

This year’s MITA Photo Contest will feature prizes from Eventide Oyster Co., FLYN, Jetboil, L.L. Bean, Wicked Joe Organic Coffees, and the MITA Gear Shop!

The rules are simple. Submit your best photos from the Trail (no more than three, please) to MITA’s own photographer, Nick Parson, at nick@mita.org by noon on Monday, October 13. Shortly after the deadline, finalists will be selected and MITA members will be called upon to vote for winners.

We’ll have prizes for the top three finishers, with the grand prize winner also receiving publication of their winning photo in the upcoming winter edition of The Island Trail.

Rules:

• Submit no more than three photos by noon on Monday, October 13.
• Photos must be taken from or feature a site on the Maine Island Trail.
• Please indicate where you took your photo, we would love to know!
• Photos must be your own work.
• MITA will claim no license on any submitted photos, and will only publish photos for the purposes of promoting the 2025 Photo Contest, voting, and recognition for our grand prize winner in our winter newsletter.
