Bertram 28 Flybridge Cruiser

Penguin is a 1973 Bertram 28 Flybridge Cruiser that has been donated to the Maine Island Trail Association and available for sale.

The Bertram 28 remains the best-selling Bertram ever. Designed along the lines of the classic Bertram 31, the 28 quickly established her reputation as a rugged and durable offshore vessel with comfortable cabin accommodations. She rides on a solid fiberglass deep-V hull, and her 11′ beam is wide for 28-footers. Below decks, the cabin layout includes berths for four with convertible dinette, an efficient galley, stand-up head, and plenty of storage. Engines are 351 Ford Windsor. There are 625 hours on the port engine and 150 on the starboard engine. Fresh water cooled engines. The cooling system is newer on the port engine. Engines start and run well. They have been professionally maintained by the boat yard.

Twin batteries on the starboard side. All new running gear in the stern. Rear deck totally replaced, now has non skid and no rot. Hull just waxed and buffed New bottom paint. Struts and shafts are basically new with only 10 hours on them. Props have been rebalanced. Swim deck on the stern. Canvas cover for flybridge and helm. Bimini for over the flybridge Garmin GPS, VHF Galley with sink and refrigerator Head with shower. Have an extra fresh water pump. Raritan ElectroScan waste treatment system. New covers for main salon area
