J/29 Sailboat – In the water ready to sail

Happy Hours is a J29 that has been donated to the Maine Island Trail Association. The boat is currently in the water, in great condition and available for sale.

Designed by Johnstone and built by J Boats Tillotson Pearson at Contessa Boat Yard in 1983 as hull number 9.

The engine is a Volvo Penta MD 2010-B built in 1983 and then rebuilt in 2013. It has a Volvo Penta Sail Drive and the Sail Bellows was replaced in 2020. The engine has been professionally serviced at Brewer’s South Freeport since the current owner bought the boat in 2013.

The hull is in good condition and went through a significant rebuild in 2013 replacing any wet core areas in both the deck and the hull.
