Muscongus Bay Cleanup

Join MITA for a shoreline cleanup of islands around Muscongus Bay! Experienced volunteer skippers will take crews out by small skiff to clean marine debris from targeted islands. This is a great way to experience islands on the Trail while taking part in the stewardship of these special places.
Boats depart at 9 a.m. and volunteers are asked to arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Crews will break for lunch on the islands, and return to the mainland between 2-3 p.m. This is a full day event, and volunteers need to be physically fit, able to climb in and out of the skiffs, and walk along uneven and often slippery shorelines.
